Hull site models.
These models were produced at the start of my final year at NUA for use in the feasibility report we carried out prior to our final project in Hull.
The large site model was made at a scale of 1:500 and was approx 1600x1000mm. The majority of the surrounding context was laser cut from 3mm MDF sheets while the immediate context along the riverfront and the river bed was hand crafted out of clay.
The smaller section model made at the same scale showed a section of the river and helped with the site analysis of the river bed. This model was laser cut from 20 layers of 6mm thick MDF and acrylic was used to show the river at high and low tide.
