One of my first year projects at NUA was to design a temporary pavilion to be sited in Chapplefield Gardens in Norwich to be used alongside the FANN events.
The structure consists of a light weight glulam timber and tensile fabric roof with perforated brick walls to appear light, airy and plays with the sun patterns.
It was originally designed for the given site but can be placed anywhere. The design was used in my final year project, Hull School of Architecture, as an example of the students involvement in the design and build curriculum.
General arrangement and dimensions of the pavilion plan originally drawn up in AutoCad.
Layout of the building with the angles for the door openings and timber roof structure.
AutoCad drawn plan for the original floor plan to house a small cafe and information desk. The interior could be stripped out and adapted to suit any requirements.
